Tony broke into the hospitality scene in his early 20's and hasn't looked back in the 30 years since. Previously, he operated three locations but preferred a better work/life balance, so he narrowed down his business interests to one location.
Tony has kept and installed many vintage features in Store Espresso's interior to reflect the building's heritage, from the lamp shades to the shelving to the furniture, contributing to the cosy vibe and community atmosphere.
How do you separate your personal life from your life at Store Espresso?
By having great staff to run the business so that I can have time off and fly overseas.
What’s your favourite ‘me time’ thing to do to relax?
I like to go to the movies and catch up with friends.
What nice surprises have you found in running Store Espresso?
I meet so many great new people and friends. I am lucky and have had a very good time with my business.
Do you have any advice for someone contemplating opening or buying a café?
Be organised. Experience and knowledge is key.

Store Espresso is set up inside a historical building, adding community-based environment.
