Ryan opened his business, Bolzy's Go4 Services, 12 years ago and hasn't looked back. He loves being a business owner because it allows him autonomy, purpose, the opportunity to meet new people and the ability to make a positive contribution to the community with the unwavering support of his family.
How do you separate your personal life from Bolzy's Go4 Services?
By having a clear start and finish time, a uniform to wear, and knowing that once I walk through the door at home, I am finished work for the day and can relax.
What’s your favourite ‘me time’ thing to do to relax?
I enjoy listening to music and V8 engines, hot baths, and drinking chai. My favourite flavour is the cinnamon Bondi Chai, it starts and finishes every one of my days!
What nice surprises have you found in running your own business?
I have been surprised by the amount of support I have received from my local community, the connections I have made with others, the new skills I have learnt and how much my independence has grown. There are always challenges in anything you do, but I've never let them get in my way or hold me back from doing and learning new things in life.
Do you have any funny or favourite customer stories?
I have some really kind customers who greet me with food and have a good laugh when I stop by to see them.
