Endeavour Foundation is Australia's longest-established, purpose-led charitable organisation, marking its 72nd year of operation and 16th year in partnership with Bondi Chai in June 2024.
Olga and Elaine are two stalwarts of the Foundation's Mt Druitt packaging facility where they have been working for a combined 43 years.
Olga started out in the working world at the tender age of 15 with the William Collins Book Publishers and made it her mission to learn as much as she could from everyone around her. Elaine's first foray into her career was operating the tea bag line at the Bushels Factory and it will always be a great memory for her. Both ladies are now loving mothers and grandmothers.
Elaine: By spending time with my grandchildren and at family gatherings.
Olga: As much as I love my job, I also find it quite easy to set boundaries, separate, unwind, and relax.
Elaine: I enjoy a glass of wine and reading a good mystery novel.
Olga: I love a good chat, topped off with good food and wine with great friends and family.
Elaine: I have been with the Endeavour Foundation for 28 years supporting adults with disabilities in food manufacturing.
Olga: I have been with the Endeavour Foundation for 15 years and every day brings something new and possible.
Olga: My mum, of course. Her unconditional kindness, love and patience have always been an inspirational example to me.
Olga: Retiring near the sea so that I can enjoy a no-stress, healthier and happier lifestyle.
Elaine: My granddaughter's wedding in October and my retirement.
Olga: My three daughters - I’m sure they would help me spend it.
Elaine: My family.
