Another 20 years on, and after a significant downsizing, Mike and his wife of 52 years, live in an over 55’s Lifestyle Village and are loving it. Playing lawn bowls 3 times a week, co-ordinating and hosting regular Trivia evenings, helping organise bowls events and helping other residents with their technology challenges. And then there is the Community Garden! Mike keeps very busy. I am happiest when… *Participating in group fitness classes at my favourite gym, Our Gym, Nelson Bay.* Everyone should read… *I am not a great reader, but I do enjoy reading the works of Bill Bryson and Peter Fitzsimmons. Being a bit of a science nerd, Bill Bryson’s “A Short History of Nearly Everything” ticked the boxes for me.* I’d tell my 13-year-old self… *Have confidence in your own ability.* My favourite saying is… *God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.* My first job was… *Delivering morning and evening newspapers, 6 days a week, at 13.* The best movie ever made is… *Again, I am not an avid moviegoer, but I did love 2001, A Space Odyssey. Released in 1968, it was so futuristic, way ahead of its time.* ![bondi-chai-faces-of-bondi-chai-on-the-subject-of-bondi-chai](https://www.bondichai.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/CMS/Faces%20of%20Bondi%20Chai/bondi-chai-faces-of-bondi-chai-on-the-subject-of-bondi-chai.png?width=369&height=110&name=bondi-chai-faces-of-bondi-chai-on-the-subject-of-bondi-chai.png "bondi-chai-faces-of-bondi-chai-on-the-subject-of-bondi-chai") Why do you drink chai latte, and why Bondi Chai? *Chai Latte is my afternoon comfort drink. I love the taste and I love that Bondi Chai is a small local company, that produces a quality product.* When/where did you first taste Bondi Chai? *It was quite a while ago and I am sure that I bought it from Woolies! Then it disappeared from their shelves. I rediscovered it when I saw it for sale from another small local company that I buy my fresh roasted coffee beans from, Bay Beans.* Which is your favourite Bondi Chai variety? *Club Cinnamon.* Three words to describe Bondi Chai, the company? Quality, Consistency, Australian.  [![MEET MORE FACES OF BONDI CHAI](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/7424219/18aa878c-a872-4fe9-90d9-84e2b9d422ca.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/7424219/18aa878c-a872-4fe9-90d9-84e2b9d422ca) [**](https://www.bondichai.com.au/meet-the-faces-of-bondi-chai/a-moment-with-mike#) --- This business received grant funding from the Australian Government through Austrade’s Export Market Development (EMDG) program.
